  • BLS (CPR program for Healthcare Professionals)

    BLS (Basic Life Support) is one day (eight hours) classroom Hands on Practice and Evaluation session.  

    Course Content:

    • Critical concepts of high-quality CPR
    • The American Heart Association Chain of Survival
    • CPR of Adult, Child and Infant - single and double rescuer,
    • Use of barrier device (pocket mask) and bag valve mask for ventilation of  Adult, Child and Infant,
    • CPR with an advanced airway
    • CPR for Pregnant woman 
    • Rescue breathing for adult, child and infant
    • Use of AED (Automated External Defibrillator) adult, child and infant
    • Management of chocking (airway obstruction) of adult, child and infant,
    • Use of  opioid antidote and
    • Team Dynamics. 

    **** Note: Participants must read well the BLS book prior to attend the BLS course.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What is the duration of the course?
    Duration of the Course is 1 day (8 hours), but participant must read well the BLS Book  prior attending the course.  

    Is there an exam at the end of the course?
    Yes, there will be a written and skill assessment exam that will be conducted at the end of the course. On successful completion of the course the participants will be given the AHA Basic Life Support certificate valid internationally for two years

    IHD conducts this course in Dhaka only?
    The AHA course by IHD is available at Dhaka city only in Bangladesh, but for corporate - Medical College, Hospitals we provide onsite course as well.

    Can IHD conduct the course at my Hospital / College / Academy?
    IHD can conduct courses at your location, in case the workshops are booked for group trainings.
